Laderman represented Onyx Magazine -- Florida's most-read African-American publication -- at its 2016 Black History Month Reception at Orlando City Hall, by being charged with the celebration's event management. Onyx Magazine, Florida’s most respected publication aimed at African-American readers, celebrates the accomplishments and contributions of African-Americans and those of the African Diaspora in the Sunshine State. This publication, launched in July/August 1997, remains committed to empowering its readers by offering entertaining, inspiring and informative stories, which also include, editorials focused primarily on the interests and  needs of African-Americans. Further, it serves as a venue to promote the positive experiences of Black life while promoting seamless, diversified connections with other cultures throughout the great State of Florida.
